It’s summer and I’m still here and my family isn’t.
Which must relieve you no end, Study Cat, because if I was away, too, you’d be at the cat hotel instead of here, on my desk.
But don’t you be thinking that I’m going to spend all my time here. Sometimes I might take my books and go and work at the lake instead.
You would, too, if you weren’t too scared to leave the house, Study Cat.
Good progress today, Study Cat.
Really? I saw you plug your computer in, so I guess that’s something…
Study Cat, you’re back?
It would appear so. Kate’s back at her desk. Finally!
And in a new, improved (bionic) version, complete with seven titanium screws in her left foot. Let’s see what difference that makes to how well she can write, hey?
I won’t hold my breath.
How can I bother Kate when she’s not at her desk? Why is her foot a different colour? What are these big sticks for? If she thinks this means I’ll write her Phd for her she can think again!
That first step is always the hardest, but it would have been worth it to spend a week cycling through Italy with the rest of the family. All that fresh air, sunshine, wine, and beautiful food. I went to the cat hotel instead.
It’s hard to write when there’s a whole world out there. What if I miss something?
Best to shut your eyes and think for a bit. That always helps.
